Build Up Your Child’s Confidence
Early positive experiences at the dentist can reduce fear for both you and your child. If they’re old enough, talk to your child positively about their upcoming appointment, but avoid scary words like needle, drill, pull, or hurt.
Take your child for a virtual tour of our office or call us to get an in-person tour before their appointment.
Patient Registration Form
Before your first appointment, please download and complete our Patient Registration form. You can print it off and bring it with you or email it to: patientforms@walnuthillsdentistry.com
The dentist will examine your child’s teeth, gums, and bite. Depending on your child’s age and specific needs, we may perform a light cleaning and determine if fluoride and/or x-rays are needed.
What To Expect During Your First Visit
Introduction To Dental Care
The first visit is usually short and involves very little treatment. Our goal is to make your child feel comfortable with the dentist. We’ll walk them through a gentle, non-threatening exam and explain every step of the process.
Education For Parents
The dentist and our staff will provide you with guidance on oral healthcare essentials, discuss dental developmental issues, and answer any questions you may have.
